KOBLENZ, Germany (BRAIN) — Ergon's new GXR grip is a lightweight model without a lock-on clamp and features an ergonomic design that the company says enhances comfort and cushioning.
Weighing 90 grams for the 32mm diameter model with bar-end plugs, the GXR is constructed from AirCell Rubber and does not need a clamp to mount securely. They are made in Germany and have no inner core. They also come in a 34mm diameter size.
With specifically placed and textured zones, the AirCell Rubber has damping properties because of countless micro air pockets within its design, according to Ergon. That also makes the grip light and soft.
The GXR has been TÜV-certified to be free of harmful substances. MSRP for the GXR is $24.95.
