Paul Components offers thumb shifters for SRAM drivetrains

Published May 8, 2019

CHICO, Calif. (BRAIN) — Paul Components is now offering U.S.-made mounts that convert SRAM bar-end shifters into thumbshifters. The Thumbies have hinged clamps for easy installation and are compatible with 10- and 11-speed SRAM bar-end shifters, but not SRAM R2C (Return to Center) shifters.

"Some people just like thumb shifters! They're simple and reliable, you can rip through a huge number of gears in one sweep, and on some shifters there's even a 'friction' setting in case you're riding with a bent derailleur hanger, frayed cable, or mismatched drivetrain and the indexing isn't lining up quite right," the company said.

Paul has previously offered its Thumbies in Shimano and Microshift versions, these are the first that are compatible with SRAM.

The mounts are made of 6061 American aluminum, weigh 80 grams with all mounting hardware, and available in anodized black, silver, or purple. Also available in polished. They are available now and retail for $104 anodized, $128 polished (Also available single sided).
