WILTON, Conn. (BRAIN) — Cannondale is releasing a new lightweight cross-country frame and fork in time for this weekend's UCI World Cup race in Albstadt, Germany.
Cannondale Factory Racing Team members will use the brand's new F-Si frame and Lefty Ocho suspension fork at the race.
The F-Si was first introduced in 2015 as a hardtail designed for the newly challenging World Cup courses. Cannondale said the new version is lighter by 80 grams and has improved handling, drivetrain stiffness and compliance. A slacker head angle and shorter chainstays contribute to the handling improvements, the company said.
The new Lefty Ocho is the eighth version of the original Lefty, which was introduced 18 years ago.
The new single-crown fork is more than 250 grams lighter than the previous Lefty Carbon. It has a new, three-sided Delta Cage needle-bearing telescope and a new Chamber Damper. The Lefty Ocho will be available in carbon and alloy versions to accommodate 27.5-inch and 29-inch wheels.
Complete bikes with the F-Si frame and the Lefty Ocho are available in seven models with retail pricing from $2,199 - $8,999.
