Published September 20, 2012

LAS VEGAS, NV (BRAIN) — Looxcie, Inc., which showed its new tiny live-streaming video camera at OutDoor Demo and at Interbike this week, announced Thursday afternoon that it would offer a high-definition version of the device.

The Looxcie HD has 1080px recording and built-in wifi. It can record and stream video and audio simultaneously. While it can record at 1080px, it live streams at 480px. The device connects to the user's smart phone via an app to live stream video to the internet.

It will be available in several configurations, including the Looxcie HD Explore, which includes mounting options for ball caps, helmets or bikes. It's larger than the non-HD version, weighing in at about 3 ounces.

The Looxcie HD will be available for pre-order on September 21 from Looxcie.com or from Amazon.com. The MSRP will range from $279.99 to $349.99, depending upon configuration.
