TAIPEI, Taiwan (BRAIN) — More than 13,500 people attended the four-day in-person TAIPEI Cycle trade show for the Asian industry that ended Saturday.
The show featured more than 630 exhibitors, including brands like Merida, Giant, KMC, SRAM, and Shimano. About 200 brands are participating in the TAIPEI Cycle DigitalGo online show that continues until April 8 to provide further international networking.
Pre-pandemic, there were 1,100 exhibitors, using 3,300 booths at the physical show in 2019. The 2019 show had 19,661 trade visitors.
Last year, 255 exhibitors signed up for the online show, including 58 from overseas and 197 local exhibitors. The percentage of international exhibitors was 23%, said Leonor Lin, president of TAITRA, the trade group that organizes the shows, who spoke with BRAIN before last week’s show.
TAIPEI Cycle reported many of this year’s visitors came from the automobile and information and communication technology industries, suggesting ICT integration in the cycling industry could be an upcoming trend.
Next year’s in-person show is scheduled to take place on March 23-25. For more information, please visit TAIPEI Cycle’s official website.
