SHANGHAI, China (BRAIN) — At the China Cycle show being held here this week, the folding bike brand Dahon has announced an expanded initiative to license some of its intellectual property to other bike makers.
The company first announced the program last fall. In Shanghai, Dahon revealed details of its IPR (Intellectual Property Rights) Sharing Program.
Technology available for license includes the company's old and new components, such as the Deltec safety cable accessory, pedals, handle posts, cranksets and more.
"The available IPR optimizes the performance of both regular and folding bikes in unique ways and exceeds all quality and safety expectations," the company said.
Dahon also is offering to license the Dahon brand as part of a "Double Branding Program," which is also being launched at the show. The company also is presenting its 2020 range of folding bikes and accessories.
