(BRAIN) — The Max streaming channel will add more than 300 live pro cycling events in February, picking up events previously streamed on GCN+, including the Giro d'Italia, the UCI Mountain Bike World Series, UCI Track Champions League, and classic one-day races including E3 Saxo Bank Classic, and Kuurne–Brussels–Kuurne.
The cycling events will be available to U.S. Max subscribers via an add-on service.
Max (an evolution of HBO Max) and TNT Sports are owned by Warner Brothers, which also owns GCN. GCN will shut down its app and streaming services Dec. 19.
Subscribers will also have access to “The Breakaway,” a pre- and post-race analysis show.

Discovery has a proud cycling heritage and is well-known for broadcasting cycling in all its forms to viewers around the world, harnessing the sport’s foremost experts including two-time Tour de France winner Alberto Contador, former World Road Race champion Philippe Gilbert, 17-year ex-pro and fan favorite Jens Voigt and 24-time Grand Tour stage winner Robbie McEwen to help better connect viewers with the sport during key events," Warner Brothers said in a news release Thursday.
Max’s B/R Sports Add-On also has live sports from MLB, NHL, NBA, NCAA Men’s March Madness, U.S. Soccer, 24 Hours of Le Mans and other events and leagues. Currently the B/R Sports Add-On is $9.95 a month in addition to the base Max subscription, which starts at $9.95 a month with ads. Some live cycling events in the U.S. and Canada will continue to be streamed on FloBikes, and NBC’s streaming service Peacock will air several major races including the Tour de France.
