PORTLAND, Ore. (BRAIN) — The inaugural MADE handmade bike show has moved its venue to Zidell Yards, a Portland event space that hosts the One Moto Show. MADE also is opening ticket sales Monday.
The show is intended as a trade and consumer event.
Show organizer Steve Elmes said Zidell Yards was the organizers' initial choice but it was then unavailable. The show had previously said it would be held at Rose Quarter.
"Fortunately things changed and we were able to capitalize on new availability which will improve everything for our vendors and attendees," Elmes said. "The venue will provide ample parking for both vendors and attendees, easier shipping/receiving logistics for vendors both domestic and international, a nice blend of indoor and outdoor space, great accessibility with bike parking right next door, onsite food trucks and beverage options from local Portland businesses, and a space reminiscent of my early days in the frame building world. Feels like home."
Zidell offers 100,000 square feet of exhibit space. More than 200 builders and brands are confirmed with more being added daily, said Bill Sinkford, the vice president of ECHOS Communication.
MADE is taking place Aug. 24-27. Tickets for the public to attend are now available at eventbrite.com/e/made-handmade-bike-show-tickets.
