SAN MATEO, Calif. (BRAIN) — GoPro Inc. reported fourth-quarter revenue increased 9% year-over-year, while its 2021 full-year revenue jumped 30%.
For the fourth quarter that ended Dec. 31, GoPro revenue was $391 million, compared with $358 million at the same time last year.
GoPro.com revenue, which includes subscription revenue, went up 10% year-over-year to $128 million, 33% of total revenue.
Net income was $53 million, an increase from $44 million year-over-year. Earnings per share for the quarter went from $0.28 to $0.32.
For the year, GoPro revenue was $1.16 billion, compared with $891,925 in 2020.
"In 2021, GoPro navigated a challenging business environment — and thrived," said Nicholas Woodman, GoPro founder and CEO. "We successfully launched innovative new hardware, software, and subscription offerings and leveraged the first full year of our more direct-to-consumer, subscription-centric strategy to grow revenue, margin and profitability while generating a record year-end cash balance of $539 million."
GoPro subscriber count ended 2021 at about 1.6 million, up 107% year-over-year.
