WESTPORT, Conn. (BRAIN) — Compass Diversified on Wednesday reported net sales of $1.6 billion for the full year 2020, a 7.5% increase over 2019; net income was $27 million for the year, down from $307 million in 2019.
Compass owns a wide variety of brands in several segments. Last September Compass purchased BOA Technology for $454 million. BOA supplies dial-fit systems to many cycling shoe and helmet makers. Compass also is the former owner of CamelBak and Fox Factory.
BOA's financials since Oct. 16 are included in Compass's fourth quarter and full-year results. BOA had net sales of $25.3 million from Oct. 16 to Dec. 31. BOA's full-year net revenue, including pre-acquisition revenue, was $106 million.
Company-wide, Compass reported fourth-quarter sales of $475 million, compared to $387 million for the same period in 2019, a 23% increase. Net income for the quarter was $8.8 million, compared to $5.4 million for the quarter in 2019. Compass paid a fourth-quarter cash distribution of $0.36 per share on CODI's common shares in January.
Besides BOA, Compass's consumer brands include 5.11, Liberty Safe, Marucci Sports and Velocity Outdoor, Ergobaby and Sterno.
