Ducati e-bikes arriving at US motorcycle dealerships this month

SUNNYVALE, Calif. (BRAIN) — Ducati e-bikes, previously available only in Europe, will be available this month at Ducati motorcycles dealerships in the U.S., the company announced Wednesday.

The E-Scrambler and MIG-S models will be available this month and the new TK-01RR model will arrive in February. Ducati released a list of 24 of its US dealers who will be carrying the bikes. 

"The introduction of these e-bikes continues the Ducati tradition of creating exhilarating two-wheeled experiences and expands our product range into a growing segment," said Jason Chinnock, the CEO of Ducati North America. "In addition to highlighting the connection between the world of cycling and the training regime of motorcycle racers the world over, including many of those on the Ducati Corse team, we're looking forward to seeing our existing clients and those new to Ducati enjoy these new e-bikes, which are also part of a growing recreational segment."

The bikes are built by THOK Ebike, an Italian manufacturer, under license from Ducati. 

The Ducati E-Scrambler model is a trekking bike equipped with the Shimano Steps E7000 motor and a 504Wh Shimano battery. Retail starts at $3,995.

The Ducati MIG-S model is an all-mountain full suspension e-bike with the Shimano Steps E8000 engine and 504Wh Shimano battery, which is positioned below the downtube. It has 150mm travel at the front and 140 rear with a Marzocchi Bomber Z2 fork, Fox Float TPS rear shock, 4-piston SRAM Guide T brakes, 29" Thok e-plus rims at the front and 27.5" rear, and a 12-speed SRAM SX drivetrain. The MIG-S has a starting MSRP of $5,295

The Ducati TK-01RR model is an e-enduro bicycle with a Shimano EP8 drive unit and a 630Wh Shimano battery. It has 12-speed drivetrain, Shimano XT brakes, a 180mm Öhlins RXF 38 fork, and Pirelli Scorpion e-bike tires. Pricing starts at $7,995 MSRP.

The Ducati E-Scrambler starts at $3,995.
