MOAB, Utah (BRAIN) — The Outerbike consumer bike festival opens this week in Utah, with skills clinics and guided rides scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday, followed by the Demo Days consumer expo from Friday through Sunday.
GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (BRAIN) — DT Swiss will be offering free consumer wheel demos at several events this seaso, including the Tri-California series, Crested Butte Bike Week, Vineman 70.3 Triathlon, Mountain Bike Oregon, Breck Bike Week, Grand Junction Offroad, and Pedal the Plains.
FT. COLLINS, Colo. (BRAIN) — New Belgium Brewing will bring its 15th annual Tour de Fat to 10 cities in 2014, starting in May in the nation's capital.
MONTEREY, Calif. (BRAIN) — Thursday turned out to be the day of the suspension fat bike, as RockShox took the wraps off its Bluto suspension fork at Sea Otter, Borealis Bikes and Rocky Mountain both showed Bluto-equipped bikes at the Monterey fest, and Quality Bicycle Products separately announced two new full-suspension fatties from its Salsa brand. But for those who are unmoved by monster-tire rigs, there was plenty else to take in on Sea Otter’s clear and sunny opening day.
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (BRAIN) — Expo space is now being sold for the 2014 Providence Cyclo-cross Festival. The Oct. 3-5 event includes Category 1 UCI racing the New England Builder's Ball, the Gran Fondo New England and more. The event is held at Providence's hostoric Roger Williams Park.
NEW YORK (BRAIN) — The NYC Bike Expo has announced a new location for its May 16-17 event. The consumer show is being held at the 69th Regiment Armory on Lexington Avenue at 26th Street in midtown Manhattan.
EAGLE, Colo. (BRAIN) — Organizers of the Eagle Outside Festival and Firebird 40 mountain bike race have announced dates for the 2014 events: May 17-18. The sixth annual festival includes Saturday's Firebird 40 and the weekend-long Rocky Mountain Bike and Outdoor Expo.
