February 25, 2025 / San Diego, CA – The iconic Belgian Waffle Ride (BWR) series, renowned for its legendary "unroad" challenges, has extended its successful partnership with BikeInsure, the Official Bike Insurance provider of Belgian Waffle Ride through 2026. BWR highly recommends that all our cycling participants insure their bicycles—gravel, mountain, road, tandem, ElliptiGO, and e-bikes—to protect against the risks of riding, transit, and theft faced by all bicycle owners in the United States.

The data impressively reflects that 13% percent of Belgian Waffle Ride referrals secured a bicycle insurance quote and 19.5% of those interested referrals that desired a quote enrolled for bike insurance. Year two of the BWR x BikeInsure partnership brought an updated actionable creative on the BWR.BIKE website, which has improved signups from almost 20% in 2024 to 30% year-to-date in 2025."

The Ventum bike owner featured was introduced to both BikeInsure and the Belgian Waffle Ride through a BWR newsletter that was forwarded by a cycling teammate.
When BikeInsure insures a bike, each rider can confidently shout "Kakaboulet," knowing they are only responsible for a small deductible in the event of an accident or theft. In the past, BWR lost customers due to high costs associated with accidents and bike theft. Although no claims arose from accidents or theft at BWR events, we could have faced lost revenue if riders decided to cancel because their bikes were toast!
