This integration, now live on prevelo.com, allows customers to have their new bike delivered to a local dealer for professional assembly.
"While our bikes are easy to assemble, receiving a box is less exciting than a fully-assembled new bike. And we know some customers prefer to go to their local bicycle shop with their child and ride out on a fully assembled Prevelo, to start the fun immediately" said Prevelo Founder Jacob Rheuban. "We're glad to offer that option to customers via a wider network of shops, including those that don't have floor space to stock kids' bikes but still see the value of getting young customers and their families into their shop."
Beeline Connect allows customers on Prevelo's site to select the option of having a participating shop assemble the bike. The customers then pick the bike up from the retailer. Shops receive a payment of $135 for assembling the bike, and also gain the opportunity to sell that customer a helmet, apparel, or other accessories. Via Beeline Connect customers can also book service appointments via prevelo.com. Shops that choose to sync their live inventory will also be able to display live inventory to customers on prevelo.com.
Prevelo offers the Alpha range of hybrid-style general-purpose bikes, the Zulu range of cross-country mountain bikes, and the Bravo line of dirt jump bikes. Most bikes come in five sizes, from 14 inches to 26 inches. Prevelo also offers the Alpha Zero balance bike.
In addition to their direct-to-consumer business, Prevelo works with select retailers interested in stocking their range of kids' bikes.
