The Route Planner has evolved steadily over the years with the incorporation of communicative tools like Points of Interest (POI) and Custom Cues to help users better understand and more effectively navigate routes. Precision editing utilities like Auto-trace, Split Route and Quick-Edit tools greatly expanded the creative potential of the planning process, allowing users to more accurately dial in the routes and configurations they desired. Global and Personal Heatmaps further elevated the experience by adding heatline overlays of aggregated ride activity, illuminating popular roads, arterials and concentrated heat from users around the globe.
