OGDEN, UT – Brandon Turman has joined Crankbrothers R&D Center as Development Engineer.
Backed by a mechanical engineering degree, experience as a professional mountain biker, and a decade as the Product Editor of Vital MTB, a leading mountain bike website, Brandon brings a uniquely informed perspective to Crankbrothers.
"Brandon brings a unique set of experiences when it comes to his history on and off the bike. He has an understanding for critically benchmarking products having participated as a racer, an editor, and an engineer. I spent time riding with him for the media launch of our Synthesis carbon wheels in Whistler and was impressed by his riding, knowledge and product insights. We are very grateful he chose to join the wrecking crew we have here, he will be a valuable addition to our product development team," said Jason Schiers, Head of Product Development for Crankbrothers.
"I am eager to help Crankbrothers continue to create innovative, simple, durable, and beautiful cycling products while also exploring possibilities in new directions. The opportunity to combine my past experiences, education, and passions alongside the talented Crankbrothers development team is really exciting. Having gained on-trail familiarity with nearly every innovation in our sport from the last several years puts me in a good position to look ahead on the quest to make bikes better and better. Right off the bat, I am looking forward to learning how it all works behind the scenes, bringing fresh ideas to the table, and generally being a sponge with first-hand insights from some mountain bike design legends," said Brandon.
Brandon will be based in Ogden, Utah at the Crankbrothers R&D facility.
