SEATTLE—November9, 2020 —TomboyX announced today that Leslie Garrard, former Vice President of Experiences and Strategy at Recreational Equipment, Inc. (REI), has joined the gender-neutral underwear company as Chief Operating Officer and will serve on the company's senior leadership team.
Garrard succeeds TomboyX co-founder Naomi Gonzalez, who is taking on a new role as Director of Strategic Growth. As COO, Garrard will report to TomboyX CEO Fran Dunawayand will have oversight of strategy development and execution of supply chain, logistics, product, merchandising, and customer voice. Garrard will work closely with CFO Ryan Letson, who was recently promoted to the role after serving as TomboyX's VP of Finance, to ensure long-term financial success and will be responsible for setting, meeting, and exceeding quarterly margin goals.

With more than two decades in combined retail, strategy, operations, digital, and brand management experience, Garrard joins TomboyX from REI where she served in multiple leadership roles in her five-year tenure. In her most recent role as Vice President of Experiences, Garrard led REI's global adventure travel business, local outdoor programs, and digital experiences team to drive brand engagement with over 500,000 customers.
Prior to REI, Garrard led strategy, product innovation, marketing, and brand initiatives for Starbucks and T-Mobile. She holds a bachelor's degree in English from Stanford University.
