For the past several years REEB Cycles pro rider Jeff Lenosky has worked with Can'd Aid as a Treads + Trails Ambassador with a focus on working to get more kids on bikes. Since Can'd Aid was founded in 2013, nearly 3,000 bikes have been donated to underprivileged children.

This past April, Lenosky toured California and performed riding demonstrations for over 6,000 kids, sharing his message for a positive lifestyle. The culmination of the tour was a bike donation with Can'd Aid to an entire first-grade class of underprivileged kids.

A few days later, his van was burglarized and $25,000 in bikes, computers and camera gear were stolen. The response from the bike industry and fellow riders was overwhelming and appreciated. Many people offered to help track down the gear and others offered to donate new gear or cash. Lenosky declined the offers because he started to envision the opportunity for this nightmare to become a positive experience.

"I knew I had a better use for the generosity directed towards me. I just needed time," Lenosky said.

Lenosky wants to channel everyone's offers of generosity and direct them toward helping underprivileged kids. The goal is to raise $25,000 (the value of the stolen property) for Can'd Aid.

This is a huge goal and he'll need a lot of help to achieve it. That's why he's inviting you to create your own Power Your People fundraiser. Not only can you set your own personal goal and rally your friends and family to help reach it, but all funds raised will ultimately help achieve the $25,000 goal as well.

Lenosky expects the fundraiser will conclude at the end of the month, coinciding with the New Jersey Mountain Bike Festival.
