TUCSON, AZ (June 24, 2019) – The Deuces Wild Endurance Festival, held June 6-9, 2019 at Fool Hollow Lake in the town of ShowLow,AZ, saw unprecedented registration grow this year. Overall registration grew over 70% from 2018 and put participation levels near all-time highs. The Deuces Wild Endurance Festival is comprised of a multitude of triathlons, aquabikes, and running events.

Seton Claggett, co-founder of the event and Marketing and Course Operations Director, was thrilled to see a year's worth of effort payoff.

"In 16 years, this even thas never seen this kind of growth and we were able to do this on an extremely limited marketing budget. The statistics speak for themselves – multisport events were up 49% (our Youth event was up an amazing 68%); our run events, which were new in 2018, were up 248%; overall registration was up 71%; and we pretty much closed the gender gap with 54% men and 46% women."

In addition to putting on the first ever night time XTERRA event, the Deuces Wild Endurance Festival was also hostt ot he inaugural Triathlon Club and Team World Championships.

"If anything, these World Championships put some old fashioned competition into the mix to encourage clubs and teams to get more of their members involved with the event by racing, volunteering, or both. The Deuces Wild XTERRA After Dark was also a fun experiment, and it provided a good beta test should we decide to make it a larger night racing event next year."

"When it comes to growing a race, you have to continuously be working on the experience – from a digital presence allt heway to whaty our race has to offer. It isa rapidly evolving process, and inorder for races to not only survive, but thrive, they need to adapt to this new model."

The draw of the Deuces Wild Endurance Festival has always been its grass roots atmosphere combined with its large scale event-style production – truly the best of both worlds. A focus on the athlete experience ensures that each participant leaves feeling fulfilled and excited to come back again the following year. The signature popsicle at the finish line is the cherry on top of a day filled with scenic courses, exceptional staff and volunteers, and fantastic schwag. Touted as one of the best triathlon festivals in the US by both Outside Magazine and Triathlete Magazine, it's THE race to do in the Southwest.
